Judy Rebick has spent her life leading the charge for social justice through print, broadcast and in the streets. Formerly the president of the National Action Committee on the Status of Women, Judy has hosted two national TV shows on CBC and continues as a frequent commentator on the airwaves.
Judy is also the founding publisher of rabble.ca, Canada’s most active independent online news and discussion site. An orator and activist at heart, Judy Rebick is skilled in debate and unafraid to take on the most differing opinions in the advancement of equality and social justice for all.
Her memoir, Heroes in my Head, recounts the author’s experience with clinical depression and Dissociative Identity Disorder, and how therapy and her passion for activism helped her eventually say goodbye to the 11 “friends” that her subconscious created to help her cope with the long-buried trauma.
