Library Building Days

Join us for some creative building fun at the Library's Building Days! We have lots of LEGO® and Duplo® for you to build with, and awesome books to give you ideas!

Parents/guardians must remain in the library.

Dates: Thursday July 5, Wednesday August 22

Time: 2:30-4:00 p.m.

Ages: 2 years and up

Fee: Free, drop-in!

Home Alone Program

Designed by the Canadian Safety Council, this program helps prepare 9 – 11 year olds for being home alone during short periods of time.  Participants will learn basic first aid and safety procedures, as well as to recognize hazards, and when and how to use 911.  Offered in partnership with St. John Ambulance.

Day & Time: Monday, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Drag Queen Storytime!

A magical story time experience hosted by Eva Lasting! Children are invited to come get involved in stories that they will love! These stories will help children learn that it's great to be who you are! Parts of the event will be interactive (but participation is optional). Children will get to be part of the story, wear some silly costumes and even strut their stuff bringing out their inner performer! Feel free to come dressed in your best glamorous outfit!
