What do you think a book club should be like? Reading all the time? Doing games and fun stuff about books? Writing? Making book trailers? Join us for this amazing club where you decide just what a book club is!

Tales for Twos and Threes - Spring 2017

Tales for Twos and Threes is the perfect introduction to storytime and group activities! We read stories, sing songs, and learn rhymes! We colour, play with blocks and do other awesome activities! Children must be two or three years old to participate, and they must be accompanied by an adult.

The aim of our preschool storytime is to encourage a love of books and introduce kids to being in a group of their peers on their own. Stories, songs, educational videos and crafts are all a part of this program! Children must be at least 3 years old at the beginning of the program. Children attend this program on their own, but parents/caregivers must stay nearby in case they’re needed.

Library Building Days

Join us for some creative building fun at the Library’s Building Days! We have lots of LEGO® and Duplo® for you to build with, and awesome books to give you ideas! You’ll have a chance to meet new friends and work together with them to make amazing brick creations—buildings, vehicles or whatever else you can dream up! This is a free-form program, so come when you can, build as much as you want, and then leave when you’ve had enough.

Parent and Child Book Club

Hey Grade 3 and 4 readers! Home Alone Program

Designed by the Canadian Safety Council, this program helps prepare 9 -11 year olds for being home alone during short periods of time.  Participants will learn basic first aid and safety procedures, as well as to recognize hazards, and when and how to use 911.

 Offered in partnership with St. John's Ambulance.

Teddy Bear Tea for Grandma/Grandpa and Me

Bring your favourite teddy and Grandma or Grandpa along for tea time and fun at the Library to celebrate Ontario Seniors’ Month!

We’ll start with a craft, provide lots of fun books for you to read together or check out, and of course, we’ll give you a delicious tea! Please tell us about any serious allergies when you register.
