How do I...?

Arrange for a children's staff member to visit my child care centre

Travelling Tales is an exciting Aurora Public Library outreach program developed for child care centres in the community. This program reaches children who may not be able to take advantage of in-library preschool programs and visits. As children are introduced to the library, their early literacy skills are reinforced through a program filled with stories, songs, nursery rhymes and more! Invitations are sent to Aurora child care centres twice a year. Please contact Polly Ross, Childrens' Services Librarian, for further information.

Arrange for a school visit for students

Come to the library, or let us bring the library to you! We have so much to offer both elementary and secondary schools. A visit can introduce students to research skills, general library information as well as a presentation and demonstration of APL's electronic and print collections. Programs are tailored specifically to student grade levels and can be modified to focus on subjects and/or themes. To book a visit, please let us know three weeks in advance and we’ll be happy to accommodate you based on availability.

Avoid fines

As a courtesy, APL offers email notification to members for materials coming due. Members are still responsible for returning materials on the due date shown on the checkout slip. You will receive an email reminder from for items due two (2) days in advance of their due date. See Troubleshooting Tips if you are not receiving your reminder emails.
