Home Alone Program

Designed by the Canadian Safety Council, this program helps prepare 9 -11 year olds for being home alone during short periods of time.  Participants will learn basic first aid and safety procedures, as well as to recognize hazards, and when and how to use 911.

 Offered in partnership with St. John's Ambulance.

Friday October 20 (P.A. Day), 1 - 4 p.m.

Meet Someone New

An astronaut afraid of the dark? Wild animals and humans who go jump in the same lake? These are amazing and true stories of real, extraordinary people and events which will inspire and delight you!

Paws 4 Stories is an awesome program for beginning and struggling readers who like dogs!  It’s an exciting opportunity to read aloud to a dog and make a friend!

Dogs and their owners are trained and generously provided by St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.

Many children find that reading aloud to a trained dog is much less stressful than reading to an adult, which helps encourage them and enjoy reading!
